2 John & 3 John (The Key Passage is 3 John 11)

In the book of 3 John, the apostle John encourages the believers to take care of the "brethren" (fellow Christians) and especially if they are strangers. How do we apply this to our own lives today? Look closely at your gifts and resources. Do you step outside of your immediate family to meet the needs of the family of Christ? After all, in Christ we are all part of the family of God. Do you have room in your home, money in your bank account, or an ability that can help others? Is there a widow in your church whose home is in need of repair? Do you know a fellow believer who can use your help getting a job or finding a place to live? You certainly cannot meet the needs of every Christian brother or sister, but you can meet some of them! This world calls us to imitate evil. When you imitate good instead, you are imitating your heavenly Father.

What actions indicate that someone knows God personally? How do you know whether someone is a Christian?

Have you been tempted to "imitate what is evil"? How can you keep from falling into this sort of temptation in the future?
