a procrastinating bookworm, proud wallflower, wannabe groupie, secular humanist, and ADHD-friendly marketer from MX.
Feminist, LGBTQ+, Free Palestine, ACAB.
I have a degree in Literature & Translation, so even though I'm not a constant reader, books are my comfort blanket and a definite part of my character.
I prefer academic, non-fiction, history, popular science, crónica, and journalism over fiction books. I'm a failed scholar.
When it comes to fiction, I'm a huge believer in short stories as a genre. I don't particularly love fantasy or science fiction, except in instances where humanism is a focus, such as Ray Bradbury's work. I'm also a big fan of magical realism—for example, Etgar Keret.
In my personal graveyard of arts & crafts, you can find: * Cartonería (cardboard art/sculpting, related to piñata making) * Felt needling * Watercolor
My life changed at 13 when I first encountered David Bowie. Ever since, music has been a huge part of my identity, I'm a professional fan and a failed musician lol.
Love Bowie, Jeff Buckley, and Placebo. Also, The Smiths, Stone Roses, Elliott Smith, Aldous Harding, and many more.
I'm mainly into post-punk and art rock.
I dislike: Anything Disney, Marvel, DC, Harry Potter, or related. Alternative medicine. New Agism. Consumerism. Conspiracy Theories. AI.
I like: Art & Cultural Studies. Animals, Insects, Nature. Crafts & Artesanías. Trinkets. Baking. Science. History, Anthropology, & Sociology. Goth, Punk, and Dark aesthetics (also love colorful, cheerful stuff tho).
I love animals, especially pets. I have a deep affinity with dogs — I just get along with every dog I meet.
I was raised by two chihuahuas, Matilda and Igor (mother and son), from age 6 to 26. They’ve both since passed from old age, but I still carry them in my thoughts every day.
In 2023, Horchata, a street cat I used to feed, gave birth in my bathtub. I helped her raise and find homes for four beautiful kittens. I kept one, who now lives with my dad. His name is Bon Jovi, short for Osama Bon Jovi (they were born on 9/11). He’s a large orange and white mix, super chill and cuddly. He’s amazing. I love him.
Currently, I share my boyfriend and bed with Aceituna. She’s a rescue "puhuahua" (pug chihuahua mix), so ugly she's beautiful. She has the purest heart, rarely barks, and I’ve never seen her act aggressively — not toward dogs or people.
Because of how much I love dogs, I support animal rights and condemn breeding.
